In case you didn’t hear, we have officially chosen our ambassador team for 2016!
This year’s Aventura Ambassadors are women writers, photographers, bloggers, social media gurus, brand builders, mothers, adventurers and RVers. This really exciting group represents the entirety of what we define as the #AventuraLife; a life lived through exploration of the outdoors, travel, service and as a positive example for women and girls.
We added 9 new ambassadors this year, and today we are introducing you to two of them, Amber Constant and Heather Mundt (left to right, below). To get to know them a little better, we have asked them a few fun questions.
Let’s start with a quick introduction! Tell us a little bit about who you are:
AC: I’m a wife, homeschooling mom, singer/songwriter, recording artist, image stylist, Jesus follower and lover of beauty, fashion, hilarity, coffee and staying up late, I wear many hats. Myself and my husband and three kids have travelled the U.S. for the past four years taking advantage of the amazing and diverse environments in which we’ve lived. When I’m not mothering, working on writing and recording or styling a client, I enjoy staying up late and laughing with my best friend and hubby, Tim.
HM: I am a native of Colorado and love living in the same city where I grew up, Longmont. After completing my master’s of journalism at CU Boulder in 2002, I wrote primarily freelance magazine articles until becoming a mom in 2006, when I took an extended break from writing. Before Michael and I became parents, we loved to travel and feared having kids would mean sacrificing it. Instead we soon realized we could enjoy traveling just as much with our two boys in tow, which in 2014 sparked the idea for Momfari.
AC: I’m a huge fan of Jen Hatmaker’s blog. If it’s sarcastic, funny yet poignant and truthful, I love it.
HM: More “magazine” than “blog,” I have to say Outdoor Families Magazine, not just because I’m a contributing editor/writer but also because its whole purpose is to get kids/families outside. I’m so honored to be part of such an amazing mission with three of the most passionate, talented moms in the blogosphere: Jennifer Fontaine, founder; Erin Kirkland, managing editor; and Traci Lehman, operations director.
Favorite Instagrammer or Pinner?
AC: On Instagram I love Whippycake and Cobblestone Road Handlettering. I’m a sucker for beauty blogs that are down to earth and things that people create by hand that are just beautiful.
HM: I love Just a Colorado Gal because of our mutual love for Colorado and adventures, which she depicts in stunning shots from her professional-photographer husband.
Singing in the car or singing in the shower?
AC: Hmmm, I would have to say belting LOUDLY in the car. There’s more time to sing a wide variety and embarrass the kids!
HM: Um, both. Is that really a question? (Good point, Heather!)
AC: Notes from the Tilt-a-Whirl by N.D. Wilson
HM: One of the first books I really loved was “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand. And I love just about any memoir or biography I’ve ever read.
Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions. Glad to have you both on the Ambassador roster this year!
