4 Ways to Wear a Quilted Skirt
Living in Calgary, Alberta, Ambassador Karen Ung of Play Outside Guide is no stranger to the cold. Check out her recommendations for how to style the Trista Skirt, a cold weather staple this season.
The winter skirt is an elusive creature that can be coaxed out of hibernation with the right accessories. Whether wool, quilted, or insulated, a winter skirt will keep you warm without bulk (similar to a vest – but for your lower body) when snowpants are out of the question. Here are four ways to wear a quilted skirt. Featured here is the Trista Skirt from Aventura Clothing.
- Après Ski: Pull a quilted skirt over base layers and you’re good to go. Don’t forget a cute beanie to cover windswept hair. I love this look for ice skating too!
- Black and Block: Black and blocks of your favorite jewel tone brighten up the darkest day. The striped Midori Scarf, Jayme Top and boots pull this casual look together.
- Winter Walk: A quilted skirt with a sweater/poncho, patterned leggings, and ankle boots will keep you toasty all the way to your favorite coffee shop. The wool-blend Chantel Poncho is surprisingly warm for its weight!
- Matchy-matchy: Pair the skirt with its matching Afton Jacket and wrap the bold Sarah Scarf around your neck for accent.Enjoy Karen’s winter style recommendations? Follow her at www.PlayOutsideGuide.com.
