Our ambassador, Kristin of TazandBelly.com is as cute as a button with her belly bump. Check out the new spring arrivals she unboxed recently and her styling tips below!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Aventura or haven’t read my previous post, here is a little more about their company and why I love them so much:
Aventura is a family-owned and operated clothing company, committed to creating fashionable and comfortable clothing with a low environmental impact. Not only do they use organically farmed cotton, but they support avoiding the use of chemical pesticides, synthetic fertilizers and genetic engineering. Over 75% of their styles use lower impact or sustainable materials!
If you are looking for a company you can proudly support, then this is it.
Aventura’s Ambassadors receive several outfits from each of the seasonal lines and are able to share sneak peeks, discount codes, and exciting news with our readers each month! I’ll be spotlighting some of my favorite pieces throughout the year and showing you how I’m incorporating them into my existing wardrobe and making them work for maternity. It was hard knowing what to order this early in my pregnancy, but I’ve gotten some great items and almost all of them fit great — even with the baby bump!
Dharma Tank ($45) | This tank is perfect for working out, but is so cute that you’ll want to wear it everywhere! It comes in five beautiful colors and already feels soft and worn in — like your favorite t-shirt. I’m wearing a small and it is plenty long enough to wear with my growing belly. If you are in between sizes, I might size down. The cut out in the back is my favorite part — how cute would this be with a pretty strappy sports bra?!
Amaris Hoodie ($82) | I am in love with this hoodie. It is the perfect oatmeal and grey, heathered stripes and the oversize fit is perfect to throw over your workout ensemble when you leave the gym. I sized up to a medium in this one, since I like a slightly slouchy fit, but I would say this is pretty true to size. My favorite part is that the strings and pocket linings are black, making it coordinate perfectly with your favorite pair of leggings.
Topanga Dress ($77) | This soft and stretchy dress was my favorite item in the spring catalog and continues to be my favorite Aventura item, to date. I’ll advise that it’s cut pretty generously, so you might size down! I ordered a medium, thinking the small would be too snug on my bump, but I’m thinking it would have worked pretty well for spring. Instead, I’m saving it for those summer months when my bump is huge and I want to wear nothing but dresses! It has great big pockets, cuffed sleeves, and a super cute vertical stripe detail on the back. This blue colorway is my favorite, but it also comes in coral, green, and grey.
Titus Ankle Pants ($85) | These are the perfect, casual pants for spring! They aren’t a skinny leg, but are very close fitting, and the length is perfect. The olive green was my favorite, but they come in five other beautiful colors, too. This was the only item in my shipment that won’t quite work with the baby bump, but I’ve figured out how to make them last for a few more weeks.
Brienne Tank ($22) | This tank is everything. Like, we all need it in every single color. It’s slimming, smoothes out all your dips and dimples, and would be perfect for layering year round. I’ve found it’s just snug enough, that I can wear it on the outside of my unbuttoned Titus Ankle Pants and it is the perfect maternity hack! I’ve already ordered it in another color and can’t wait for it to arrive. Select colors are on sale for $12.99.
Verona Jacket ($90) | This jacket was the last piece in my box and it’s so great to throw over everything. It will be perfect for the transitional spring weather and the best part is… it’s made out of sweatshirt material! I love the military cut and it comes in two other colors.
