Balancing Business with Goodness

Giving back has always been a crucial part of our DNA. We’re proud to partner with several amazing nonprofits, continuing our long-held practice of balancing business and goodness. With National Nonprofit Day on Friday, August 17, we wanted to take the opportunity to highlight some of the amazing work done by our nonprofit partners.


We’re honored to partner with Uncommon Threads, a boutique-style clothing program that serves women in need, including survivors of domestic violence, women in recovery, women with disabilities, homeless women, and elderly women. For a $10 donation (easily waived if the woman cannot afford it), Uncommon Threads provides these women with up to four outfits that make them feel confident and raise their self-esteem. “Our goal has always been to create clothes that enable women to feel good about looking great,” says Tom Williamson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Aventura. “We are excited to play a part in helping Susan’s dream become a reality and assisting these women who are trying to get back into the workforce and become a part of society again.”

Most recent studies show that 14 percent of U.S. households experience food insecurity. When we launched Ecōths in 2014, we also launched the 3 Campaign, a philanthropic program focused of fighting hunger in the U.S. For every Ecōths garment purchased, we provide a minimum of three meals to regional food banks around the country. In other words, for every Ecōths garment purchased, we feed one person for one day! To date, we have donated close to 350,000 meals to regional food banks throughout the U.S.

Most recently, we’ve partnered with the Continental Divide Trail Coalition, outfitting their entire staff for work and events! Since 2012, the CDTC has worked to complete, promote and protect the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail, which spans 3,100 miles from Mexico to Canada, crosses five states, connects countless communities, and encounters numerous ecosystems. We’re honored to support an organization with such deep attachments to the outdoor community that’s so vital to our brand’s DNA. Learn how get involved here.
