Laura Bambrick of I do deClaire knows how to put together a summer outfit that makes the wearer feel as good as they look. She’s the host of the popular Confident Twosday linkup, which encourages women to post a photo of an outfit that made them feel fearless. Laura’s put together five summer looks with a few of her favorite Aventura pieces for some summer style inspo.
Especially in the spring and summer, I switch my shorts up with skirts and dresses. Even as a stay-at-home mom, I still find casual skirts and dresses to be just as comfortable, or even more comfortable, than some of my shorts! I recently got a couple of more casual skirts from Aventura exactly for this reason. This striped Peri skirt is one of them. It comes in two other beautiful shades as well. The drawstring waist is so comfortable and you can adjust it based on how high or low you prefer to wear your skirts. It’s fully lined AND has pockets! Score! For our vacation I paired it with a simple eyelet top and navy bib necklace.
When I first started blogging almost 6 years ago, I was in the process of revamping my entire closet. I focused on the basic pieces like a chambray top, one-color sweaters, black denim, white denim, a denim jacket, and a striped tee. One thing that eluded me was a chambray dress. They were always out of stock, not in my size, too dark, too light, or not flattering. Well it took a while, but I finally have it! This chambray dress from Aventura is perfect. It is fitted, but not overly so, a great length, and a medium blue wash. And it has pockets! It can be worn with any color accessory you can think of and works well layered over or under items, too!
Blush is such a pretty color and pairs really nicely with many other shades. So having blush wedges for spring and summer is a nice way to switch up the typical cognac color most of us gravitate toward. I paired it with a lightweight darker purple scarf I just received from Aventura and a rust colored peplum top from SheIn
The first time I wore this skirt from Aventura was earlier this past spring. We had an unseasonably warm day and we all had to take advantage by dressing for the weather. I pulled out this super soft skirt and paired it with stripes for a super casual vibe. This time around I dressed it up a bit by pairing it with a navy top and espadrilles. It almost looks like a dress since the colors and fabrics are so similar. Going monochromatic with a skirt and top can be a fun way to emulate a dress and remix your closet a bit more. A necklace would take away from all the pretty embroidery on the top so instead I added fun neon earrings.
With the crazy weather changes and cool mornings and hot afternoons, I’ve been living in my layers like cardigans and denim jacket. But white denim and a lightweight top is a perfect alternative! This Aventura tunic is so pretty in-person and works well for those cold mornings and warm days. It helps keep your arms covered to keep you warm, but is thin enough that you won’t overheat as the day warms up. It fits true to size, and because of the quilted texture, it doesn’t really need ironing. I added my new favorite snakeskin wedges to add a fun bit of edge. They are really comfortable and I’ve been wearing them nonstop!
